You have decided to buy a juicer (aka jiucer, jjuicer, jicer, jucier). You know that fresh juice is healthier, tastes better, and juicing saves time and money. A quality juicer will pay for itself quickly, and give you years of service besides. Many juicer brands and models are available. If you're like me, it's easy to get overwhelmed with the number of juicers available on the market.  Owing to the number of Internet searches per month pertaining to juicer comparisons or reviews, you're not alone.   So what do you do about it?

      First, there's the Masticating or Auger type juicer, such as the American made Champion, or the L'Equip VISOR Natural Food Processor. What I like about this type is that the pulp is ejected while you juice. If you are juicing in quantity, (like we are right now with our orange crop), the pulp ejection is a big plus. Stopping to clean a juicer after every pint of juice can get old fast! We chose the Commercial Heavy Duty Champion Juicer, because of the high volume of juicing we do. Another advantage of the Champion or L'Equip VISOR is that more of the fruit or vegetable being juiced is utilized or 'masticated', yielding more vitamin content, and less waste overall.      Next, we have the centrifugal juicer. As the name suggests, centrifugal force is used to extract as much juice as possible, by way of an interior basket with a rotary blade disc in the bottom. Fruit and veggies are fed through an opening in the top. Most centrifugal juicers are fast, but many do not have pulp ejection--the Acme for example. If you only juice a pint or so a day, this type of juicer is adequate. However, the L'Equip Mini XL Pulp Ejector Juicer, does have continuous pulp ejection, giving you the option of doing both large and small quantities.
